Chasing God’s Glory

Book cover titled "Chasing God's Glory" showing a young girl and her mother riding bikes on a trail through a colorful nature scene with flowers, trees, and a sky with clouds at sunset.

A unique and delightful children’s book about how God’s glory can be found all around us every day, from the award-winning author of Cora Cooks Pancit.

“Mama, what exactly is glory?”

When Zayla asks her mom to describe God’s glory, Mama knows it’s time for an adventure! Together, Mama and Zayla discover how sunrises and dancing, daffodils and green peppers, kind words and loving hugs—and more!—are all reminders of God’s glory.

Award-winning author Dorina Lazo Gilmore-Young’s rich multicultural story and Alyssa De Asis’s vibrant artwork make Chasing God’s Glory a unique invitation to notice and celebrate the radiance of God’s light and love as you and your family become “glory chasers.”

A family-friendly devotional written by Dorina Lazo Gilmore-Young for children of God to learn about the glory of God, how to look for His glory in the everyday things, and how to chase God’s glory for His Kingdom.

"Chasing God's Glory" is a beautifully illustrated, sweet story of finding God's glory in everyday moments. Our world is so full of negativity and division... it's refreshing to have a story to share with kiddos (and adults!) with a focus on SEEING the beauty that's around us, the common threads that bring us together, and the bonds of faith that strengthen us through any situation. This book doesn't skirt hard topics, like the loss of a loved one. It's not all fluff and magic... it's choosing to see God's glory in EVERY circumstance. It's purely beautiful.

I also love how the author has given us a book for children, following her Bible Study / Devotional for adults, "Glory Chasers: Discovering God's Glory in Unexpected Places" which I also read and thoroughly enjoyed.

If you're looking for positivity, inspiration, beauty, and a way to help kids see the world around them through a wholesome, Spirit-filled, strength-based framework... this is the book for your family (or classroom, office, waiting room, etc.)
