Melt butter in a saucepan.
If you are using stick pasta, break into 3 parts. If you using angel hair pasta coils, add 3 coils to the pot.
Brown pasta without burning the butter. (Do not walk away.)
Brown rice while mixing with pasta.
Pour in chicken broth.
Do not mix rice again. Add 1 teaspoon salt.
Bring to boil.
Just as the rice begins to show on top, cover pot and turn down heat to medium.
Cook for 10 minutes. Do not uncover or mix rice.
Turn burner off. Let rest for 10 minutes without touching.
Mix well to get all the butter on the bottom mixed in.
