🦃 We spent our first Thanksgiving with the Young-Chan family. We usually see them at Christmas, but this year we decided to spend the holiday in SoCal at Shawn’s mom’s house. We feasted Thursday at @la2kona ‘s house.

The food was epic with my bro-in-law Derek Chan as the head chef. (Hello, 🥓 Bacon-wrapped Turkey!) We had fun playing Minute-to-Win-It games and eating wayyyy too much dessert! 🥧 What a gift to gather again after two years!

Today we all migrated back to Fresno so we can watch our nephew run in the State Cross Country Championships on Saturday. Woohoo! 🏃🏽‍♂️

This goes out to all the mamas, grandmas, aunties, and daughters who are working and sharing the love in the kitchen today. Proverbs 31:17 celebrates a woman who is strong: “She sets about her work vigorously; her arms are strong for her tasks.”
.
In Proverbs 31:25, we are reminded that strength is not just physical. We are to be women of character as well. The poem says, “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come.” We build spiritual strength and good character when we lift God’s Word and rest in its truth. We need both in order to develop our spiritual muscles.

May we be men and women of strength who pivot away from physical and spiritual atrophy, and instead strengthen ourselves for the days to come. 💪
